Therapeutic Style: My role as a system’s therapist is to help students understand their own systems, dynamics that surround them and to understand their influence. I intend to incorporate a safe and accepting space that helps motivate students to seek growth and development in their lives. I enjoy working with students in a collaborative manner where both the students and I can work together to meet their goals.
Professional Interests: My areas of professional interest include working with students as they process and navigate being in stressful and anxiety filled environments. I have a background in working with individuals, couples and families that identify as LGBTQ+, that have traumatic backgrounds, and that seek help in sexuality or sexual issues. I am passionate about also working with diverse populations of students to provide a space of safety and acceptance.
Education Background: I attended the University of Mississippi and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and sociology with a minor in gender studies. I am currently a second year graduate student at Syracuse University where I am pursuing my master’s in marriage and family therapy.
